Over lockdown I found myself ‘Binging’ religiously, watching countless new Tv shows.  It wasn’t till after my thirst for the ‘new’ ran dry, did occur to me to watch old Tv shows/Movies. ​​​This idea came to me when I came across an old family favorite ‘Everybody hates Chris” An American Sitcom inspired by the memories of comedian Chris Rock's teenage years.​​​Watching this gave me the feeling of nostalgia, made me think back to the days where  my brother, sisters and I would sit in the dining room eating supper watching the latest episode dying of laughter, the series this was our way of connecting and spending time together through our otherwise busy and  disconnected lives-  this became a tradition in our household.​​ When facing trials and tribulations in such uncertain times, naturally we turn to our support system- our family and friends. 

In response to this, after everything our consumer has gone through,  customers deserve to feel familiar, safe, warm, secure and supported.​

My concept is to explore family sitcoms within the age range of Gen y consumers  to evoke the feeling of familiarity and  nostalgia.
